The Index
The vast majority of law schools* use index formulas to guide their admissions decisions. Index formulas assign a weight to LSAT scores and to UGPAs (LSAC's calculation of your undergraduate GPA). After being weighted, the LSAT and UGPA are combined to assign applicants an index number.
Under Represented Minority
Selecting the URM checkbox adds 3 points to your LSAT score in the above formula and 0.2 points to your UGPA.
Assigning Scholarships

The estimator assumes that scholarship award distribution at a school mirrors competitiveness based on index numbers. Suppose you are at a school's top 10th percentile of admitted students based on index number. Then, if 10% of students receive greater than full rides, the estimator assigns you "Greater than full ride scholarship." If, however, only 5% of students get greater than full rides while the next 15% receive full rides, the estimator assigns you "Full ride."
Minimums
Minimum GPA: 2.0
Minimum LSAT: ~145-155.
If your LSAT and GPA are above the minimums, then all that matters to the estimator is your Index score. If one of your LSAT or GPA are below the minimums, the estimator will assign you "Scholarship Unlikely."
* Some schools do not release their index formulas. For these schools, the estimator weighs the LSAT and GPA equally.
